I am starting out the year teaching a 6 week drawing course at Ella Sharp Museum. I have a fabulous class of beautiful ladies ready to draw!
Welcome to the blog ladies!
Let's use this blog for inspiration. I will post weekly assignments and share links for inspiration. Anyone can join in- you don't have to be in the class to use these ideas and links.
This weeks assignment is to choose 3 objects from your home that are meaningful to you. Arrange the 3 objects and draw them the best way that you know how. There is no right or wrong way to do this, but remember "YOU FLUNK" if you do not do this! ha ha
I'm thinking about using these 3 Christmas presents I received from my kids this year!
Materials needed:
3 objects of your choice
choice of drawing material and paper
Some helpful basics of drawing:
You build skills by practicing.
Practice blind contour line drawing to help you really "see" what you are drawing. (tripod hold of your pencil)
Practice "drawing through" to create form. (loose sketch hold of your pencil)
Here is a link to a pinterest board with videos, tutorials, and images related to drawing. I will be adding to the board, so check back._
