It was great seeing you this week!
Drawing takes practice. I was so impressed that you did your homework! You did an awesome job. Every mark you make is an extension of yourself. Be proud of every little bit of drawing you do. We are all learning and growing together. You are making this class interesting and challenging by the effort you put in and the questions you ask. Thanks for being wonderful!
In review, we went over a few ideas to keep in mind when you are drawing a still life.
- Creating the illusion of 3D space through placement on the page, overlap, and proportion.
- How to frame a composition using a view finder.
- Using an open or closed design and how each engages the viewer in a different manner.
- Shading forms and watching for shadows.
Homework this week!
Draw a still life that has to do with food. Get creative! Make your composition an open design. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
The more you draw the better you draw!
